Steliana Hindalova

Total years of teaching experience: 12 years

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Opera Singing from the Musical Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria; continued her education with Opera Studio at the National Opera Company, Sofia, Bulgaria; Childhood Development Associate Credential (CDAE) from Daytona State College.

Mrs. Hindalova says the aspects of teaching music she most enjoys are: teaching the children chapel and patriotic songs; increasing their knowledge of musical instruments; history and styles of music, and having fun with creative movements and dances. She enjoys teaching at FPS because she has the freedom to teach about the Creator through music. She believes that in our school we are like a family. It is a blessing and joy for her to come every day and feel the love of the children, parents, and staff.

Prior to moving to the United States, Mrs. Hindalova, native born from Bulgaria, Europe, her husband, son, and, daughter were landing immigrants in Canada, Toronto from 2000 till 2001. There she learned English in addition to her German, Italian, and Russian. In 2001 they immigrated in USA and in 2006 they became US citizens. In Europe Mrs. Hindalova was an artist-soloist in opera companies in Bulgaria and performed in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Greece. Although she is not on the stage anymore she is blessed to give her love for music to the students.

Outside of teaching music, she loves spending time with her family and reading The Scripture. She has been married for 29 years. She has lived in DeLandsince 2001 with her family. Mrs. Hindalova loves baking, cooking, gardening, playing, and listening to music, as well.

In addition to teaching music classes for our preschool and elementary students, Mrs. Hindalova also directed the after school musical theater program.
